Dr. Rajani supports the 27th Annual Oregon Cancer Ski Out!
Dr. Anil Rajani, MD, has again donated his knowledge and products to a very important cause: The 27th Annual Oregon Cancer Ski Out! Dr. Rajani is based in Portland, Oregon, and was very excited to be sharing his exclusive skin care products to this wonderful cause.
The Oregon Cancer Ski Out raises awareness and support for the battle against cancer. It benefits cancer research, hospice, and prevention programs. The Ski Out for 2015 was held March 8 and 9. It was a two day event for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The race was set up in an original way, with a team-based format that was a lot of fun!
Even in winter with no snow, UV exposure is always a concern to skiers and snowboarders. When the sun is reflected off of the snow, UV exposure is increased. Dr. Rajani has donated products such as his high-SPF moisturizers, lip protection, clinical grade acne fighting cleansers, and a vegan moisturizer to the participants involved in the racing events.
In addition, he donated a CoolSculpting treatment which is a FDA approved procedure to permanently remove fat from the body non-surgically and with no downtime. This was a big hit at the closing event.
Dr. Rajani is happy to be able to help and to “contribute something that skiers and snowboarders can really use”. He also states that “We’re fortunate to have a cancer-fighting organization so close to Portland that complements our promotion of smart sun protection”.
Funds for the race are raised through corporate sponsorships, team entry fees, various auctions, and the famous Cowboy up for Cancer dinner and casino night held in Hood River. The Oregon Cancer Ski Out has raised over $900,000 for its recipients since it began in 1988. Its success is mostly due to the team participants and their sponsors that return year after year to take part in this significant event.
