With more than fifteen years injecting, board certification as a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, and a role as a Galderma National Trainer (GAIN), she teaches other medical professionals across the country how to do this work. The techniques your last injector was trained on may well be the ones Tara teaches.

She's now seeing patients at Style Aesthetics in Portland's Pearl District, where she's accepting new patients and welcoming those who have followed her from her previous practice.

What it means to see a national trainer

15+ years, tens of thousands of treatments. Experience at this level shows up in the things you can't see on a menu: knowing when to say no, reading facial anatomy, and understanding how a face changes over a decade rather than a single appointment.
Board certified in aesthetic nursing (CANS). The Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist credential comes from the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board and is the only board certification specific to aesthetic nursing. Earning it requires years of specialty practice, documented hours under a board-certified core physician, and a rigorous exam, and it must be renewed. Only a few hundred nurses in the United States hold it.

About 50 miles, or roughly an hour up I-5, depending on traffic. Many patients book late-morning or early-afternoon appointments to miss rush hour.
Consultations are free. Pricing depends on your plan, and Tara will review everything with you before any treatment begins.
CANS stands for Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, a board certification from the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board. It's the only board certification that exists specifically for aesthetic nursing. Qualifying requires years of specialty experience, at least 1,000 documented practice hours working alongside a board-certified plastic surgeon, dermatologist, facial plastic surgeon, or oculoplastic surgeon, and passing a comprehensive exam. Very few injectors nationwide hold it.
Galderma, the maker of Dysport, Restylane, and Sculptra, selects experienced injectors to train other medical professionals on injection technique, facial anatomy, and product use. Tara is one of them. She teaches other injectors across the country while continuing to see her own patients here in Portland.
