The area is cleansed, marked, and numbed with topical anesthetic and ice. Kybella is placed in a series of small injections, typically 20 to 30.

First weeks
Swelling peaks in the first 3 to 5 days and mostly resolves in 2 to 3 weeks. Tenderness, redness, or bruising is possible.

Your skin is prepped and numbed with a topical anesthetic. Both fillers also contain lidocaine.

Kybella reduces fat under the chin. Filler adds projection to the chin itself. If your profile looks soft because of fullness below the jaw, Kybella is usually the answer. If your chin sits too far back, filler is. Many people have a bit of both, and we will show you what each would change at your consultation.

Most patients need 2 to 4 sessions, depending on how much fat is under the chin. Some need up to 6, spaced at least a month apart; in clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 treatments. We will build a plan for your profile.

Yes. Once fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store fat. Results last as long as you maintain a stable weight, and follow-up treatments are rarely needed after your series is complete.

Expect noticeable swelling for 2 to 3 weeks, especially after your first session. Plan treatment at least 2 weeks before a big event, avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours, and use ice packs as needed.
